The Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord at the Shrine and at the Monastery of Pauline Fathers and Brothers in Doylestown, PA. On this day at all Masses we have blessed chalk and incense to bless our homes and to inscribe C+M+B on our doors. The letters traditionally signify the name of the Magi, the Three Kings (Caspar, Melchior, and Balthasar) and also are an abbreviation of a house blessing “Christus mansionem benedicat”, which means, “May Christ bless this house”. On Sunday, December 29th a Christmas Concert organized by Mr. Pawel Raczkowski, Shrine Music Director, took place out Shrine, in St. Anne’s Chapel. This year’s concert featured Our Lady of Czestochowa Choir, OLCD J’s Band, Orchestra, Polish Charismatic Group, Pauline Fathers, and many other soloists. La Posada

La Posada at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Posada is a tradition popular in Mexico and also present in some Latin America countries before Christmas. It is about re-enacting Mary’s and Joseph’s search for a lodging in Bethlehem. During these nine days before the Nativity, Las Posadas take place every night at a different place, visiting various houses and places.
