Christmas Eve for the Shrine Employees took place at the Shrine Cafeteria on Friday, December 20th. It was a wonderful occasion for the Pauline Fathers & Brothers – Fr. Mikołaj Socha (Shrine Director) and Fr. Krzysztof Drybka (Prior of Monastery) to thank our dedicated employees, who serve pilgrims at the Shrine, to share the Christmas wafer together (opłatek), sing Christmas carols, and to wish everyone Merry and Joyful Christmas! La Posada

La Posada at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Czestochowa. Posada is a tradition popular in Mexico and also present in some Latin America countries before Christmas. It is about re-enacting Mary’s and Joseph’s search for a lodging in Bethlehem. During these nine days before the Nativity, Las Posadas take place every night at a different place, visiting various houses and places.
