Cemetery Regulations

  

The Cemetery of Our Lady of Czestochowa is a Roman-Catholic Cemetery.

 

NOT PERMITTED

  1. No alterations of any kind to grave sites - no digging; no adding of top soil.

  2. No planting of trees and/or shrubs.

  3. No placing figurines, lamps, containers with fake flowers, bricks, rocks or toys on graves or headstones.

  4. No enclosures of any kind (wood, metal, plastic, stone, etc...) or size, more than 1 foot away from foundation.

  5. No animals/pets on cemetery grounds.

  6. No placing of headstones privately without giving prior knowledge or permission of the Cemetery Office.

VETERANS SECTION

Planting of any shrubs and/or trees, placing of any kind of plastic decorations on grave or cross is strictly prohibited. This section must be maintained in the order and respect of the military. The green grass with the white crosses symbolize soldiers in their green uniforms standing guard for all eternity. 

PERMITTED

For a period of two weeks, it is permitted to place flowers and wreaths, light votive candles and place flags for the following holidays:

  • Easter

  • Memorial Day

  • All Saints/Souls

  • Christmas
