Baptism of Jesus

Jesus has come to the Jordan to embrace the saving plan of God.  The Father and the Holy Spirit are also there to name and to anoint the one who reveal on earth the face of God’s love. This is God’s moment as Jesus takes His place beside us to plead our cause. The waters gradually cover His body and he goes down into the world of those who have fallen to the bottom.  The people who have followed Him to the river are going down into the water to be named with Him.

Boga nie można poznać. To On może objawić się mnie, kiedy i jak zechce za pomocą słów nigdy nie słyszanych, pojęć wykraczających poza wszelkie pojęcia. W prawdziwej modlitwie wymagana jest więc ode mnie bardziej pasywność niż aktywność; bardziej milczenie niż słowa, bardziej adoracja niż wiedza, bardziej gotowość niż działanie, bardziej wiara niż rozum. Muszę dogłębnie zrozumieć, że prawdziwa modlitwa jest owocem daru nieba dla ziemi, Ojca dla swojego Syna, oblubieńca dla oblubienicy, tego, kto ma, dla tego, kto nie ma, wszystkiego dla nicości.

 

 

 

Wedding Feast of Cana 

 

Mary recognized that a great change was upon the world.  She sensed that Jesus would fill empty jars and lead us in a new bridal dance.  When the wine ran out at Cana in Galilee she knew that the people would forevermore drink the wine from the well of God’s mercy.  Mary calmed the anxious moment by simply asking the waiters to “do whatever He tells you.”

Jeżeli pijesz wino ofiarowane ci przez samego Boga przepełnia cię radość. Nie jest powiedziane, że ta radość będzie zawsze łatwa, wolna od cierpienia i łez, ale jest radością. Może ci się przydarzyć, że będziesz pił wino Bożej woli w chwilach trudnych i gorzkich, ale nie przestawaj być radosny. Bóg jest radością, nawet gdy jesteś krzyżowany. Bóg jest radością, także gdy umierasz. Bóg zawsze jest radością, gdyż potrafi przemienić wodę naszej biedy w wino zmartwychwstania.

 

 

 

Proclamation of the Kingdom 

 

We follow Him.  We follow the man into Simon’s house and we saw the sin turn tears at His touch.  We sat in the boat as the thunderstorm razed and we saw the sea bowing down to His command.  We witnessed the attempted murder of the woman whose sin was discovered and we saw her accusers going down on their own sins.  We walked in the funeral procession with the widowed woman and her dead son, he responded to the breath of the man’s heart.  We stood on the brow of the hill of the cross where He was put on view and the rocks split and the sky shook and the graves opened.  One soldier said, “Surely, this was the Son of God.”

Jeśli Królestwo się wypełnia, to wypełnia się ono wyłącznie w wolności miłowania, w bezwarunkowym wyborze dwojga, w obustronnym przyjęciu wspólnego planu. Królestwo nie jest przymusem: jest ono swobodnym wyborem, a ponieważ okazało się ono aktem miłości samego Boga, to również przyjęcie go jest aktem miłości ze strony człowieka.

 

 

 

 

Transfiguration 

 

Christ takes us to Easter as He too His first disciples, by way of the Transfiguration.  He wants us to know that glory is certain, that the Father cannot possibly abandon His Beloved Son.  He wants us to know that there is only one path to glory; through the passion, and that this passion can be made an action, an ongoing giving of self to the Father for others.  He wants us to become what we became at Baptism, what He is from all eternity:  The Son of God. “This is my Son, the Beloved; listen to Him.”  That is certainly the line.  It must always echo in our ears.

 

 

PRZEMIENIENIE NA GÓRZE TABOR 

 

Kontemplacja, która jest bierna, jest przyjściem Boga do nas jako poznanie. Bóg daje się poznać jaki jest, nie zaś jaki może się nam wydawać na zewnątrz. Przez kontemplację realizuje się pełnia mojego ziemskiego życia i dzięki niej karmię się autentycznym życiem wiecznym, bo jestem przeznaczony do życia wiecznego. Wszystko inne będzie mi dodane, bo w porównaniu z życiem wiecznym jest czymś mało znaczącym. "Starajcie się naprzód o królestwo Boga i o Jego Sprawiedliwość, a to wszystko będzie wam dodane" (Mt 6,33).

 

 

 

Institution of the Eucharist

 

The dream of God for unity in the web of life was kept alive by Jesus, the Son of God, through the Eucharistic Feast.   He who was with God in the beginning emptied Himself and became as we are.  In His offering of unconditional love, Jesus restored broken creation to communion with God.  Thank you dear God for your love, poured out in Jesus.  Thank you for the human mind that thinks nobles thoughts and desires communion.  That you for the Eucharistic heart of Jesus, which reaches beyond limits, for the sake of justice, truth and right.  You lift us up in the Eucharistic heart of Jesus, offering us communion with You. 

 

 

USTANOWIENIE EUCHARYSTII 

 

Eucharystia jest rzeczywiście milczeniem Boga, Jego słabością. Stać się tylko chlebem i milczeniem pośród świata tak hałaśliwego, tak rozgorączkowanego! Można by powiedzieć, że świat i Eucharystia zmierzają w przeciwnych kierunkach, oddalając się coraz bardziej od siebie. Potrzeba wiele odwagi, by nie dać się ponieść światu, ale także wiele wiary i woli, by iść pod prąd, ku Eucharystii - by zatrzymać się, zamilknąć i oddać się adoracji.
