44. For which reason, after we have poured forth prayers of supplication again and again to God, and have invoked the light of the Spirit of Truth, for the glory of Almighty God who has lavished his special affection upon the Virgin Mary, for the honor of her Son, the immortal King of the Ages and the Victor over sin and death, for the increase of the glory of that same august Mother, and for the joy and exultation of the entire Church; by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul, and by our own authority, we pronounce, declare, and define it to be a divinely revealed dogma: that the Immaculate Mother of God, the ever Virgin Mary, having completed the course of her earthly life, was assumed body and soul into heavenly glory.
45. Hence if anyone, which God forbid, should dare willfully to deny or to call into doubt that which we have defined, let him know that he has fallen away completely from the divine and Catholic Faith.
46. In order that this, our definition of the bodily Assumption of the Virgin Mary into heaven may be brought to the attention of the universal Church, we desire that this, our Apostolic Letter, should stand for perpetual remembrance, commanding that written copies of it, or even printed copies, signed by the hand of any public notary and bearing the seal of a person constituted in ecclesiastical dignity, should be accorded by all men the same reception they would give to this present letter, were it tendered or shown.

When Jesus heard of it, he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns. When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them, and he cured their sick. When it was evening, the disciples approached him and said, "This is a deserted place and it is already late; dismiss the crowds so that they can go to the villages and buy food for themselves." Jesus said to them, "There is no need for them to go away; give them some food yourselves." But they said to him, "Five loaves and two fish are all we have here." Then he said, "Bring them here to me," and he ordered the crowds to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he said the blessing, broke the loaves, and gave them to the disciples, who in turn gave them to the crowds. They all ate and were satisfied, and they picked up the fragments left over - twelve wicker baskets full. Those who ate were about five thousand men, not counting women and children.
Może zastanawiasz się nad tym dlaczego Bóg ciągle poddaje swój lud próbom? Dlaczego w naszym życiu często zmagamy się z jedną próbą po drugiej? I dlaczego nasze próby zdają się przybierać na sile i częstotliwości? Próby, którym Pan poddawał Izraelitów rzeczywiście wzrastały. Kiedy lud niczego się nie nauczył za pierwszym razem, Bóg zsyłał nawet cięższe doświadczenia. A jeżeli i wtedy niczego to nie wniosło, zsyłał kolejną, jeszcze dotkliwszą próbę. Widzimy teraz Boży lud, który nie zaufał Bogu nad wodami Marah - co oznaczało, że czeka ich kolejna jeszcze mocniejsza próba wiary.
Czytając dzisiaj słowa Pawła, większość z nas przypuszcza, "Bóg chciał usunąć negatywne zjawiska w swoim ludzie. On chciał wytępić rzeczy, które nie były Boże, po to by ukazać ich słabość, i żeby stali się bardziej Chrystusowi." To prawda. Ale to była tylko część tego, co Bóg robił z Izraelem. Nawet nie zdajemy sobie sprawy, że Bogu chodzi o coś więcej, kiedy wprowadza nas w sytuacje krytyczne. Robi tak często po to, aby nauczyć nas czegoś więcej o nim samym.

świadkami" (Dz. 1, 8). Generalnie
przygotowania rozpoczęły się dwa lata temu w poszczegolnych
diecezjach australijskich. Głównie są to rekolekcje, modlitwa, spotkania z
organizatorami Światowych Dni Młodzieży i zapoznanie się z ich programem, jak
również organizowanie zaplecza noclegowego dla pielgrzymów, którzy przyjadą.
20 czerwca, rozpoczęliśmy
kalendarzowe lato, czas radosnej i słonecznej przygody. Już od kilku tygodni
temperatura przypominała nam, że lato się zbliża. Nadszedł upragniony czas odpoczynku
po ciężkich zmaganiach w szkole i w pracy. Wakacje to także nowe przygody i
znajomości, które nabierają dodatkowej wartości, kiedy zdobywamy je w miejscach, które odwiedzamy pierwszy raz.
Zdaję sobie sprawę, że nie wszyscy będziemy mieli możliwość spędzania tegorocznych
wakacji na Wyspach Kanaryjskich, ale ważne jest to, byśmy umieli i chcieli
wypoczywać po ciężkiej pracy. Uczyńmy wszystko by nasz czas odpoczynku nie
męczył nas i drugiego człowieka. Zatem, na ile możemy to zaplanujmy czas na
radosne spędzenie chwil, by nabrać siły do dalszej pracy. Ci z nas, którzy
zostają w Nowym Jorku, mogą korzystać z darmowych wstępów do muzeów, lub być
uczestnikiem muzycznych koncertów.
